Our central belief is that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is alive today and that the Holy Spirit is at work in the whole of creation bringing us back into relationship with God the Father. Jesus defeated sin (the barrier between us and God) and calls us to follow Him. We invite others to follow Him too and we live lives that show that God loves everyone.
We believe that Jesus Christ is God and that He is the head of the Church.
Colossians 1:15-20 says,
15 The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. 17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. 18 And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. 19 For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, 20 and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.
We believe that Jesus Christ lived to serve so that we can really live.
Philippians 2:6-11 says,
6 Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; 7 rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross!
9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
